Trainer Bio

They say “you never work a day in your life if you do what your passion is.” I’ve truly found that passion, this drives me and pushes me for more. I always endeavour to get the best out of an individual, focusing on their own personal goals and strengths. Together, we can achieve! I am approachable and feel that I can relate to others well which I feel is very important when building a relationship with clients. Learning is of main importance to me and I will continue to widen my knowledge which in turn will be passed onto clients. Helping others to stay motivated, set their own fitness goals, progress and achieve is what it’s all about for me. The time that I spend working with clients is their time to become a better version of themselves, both physically and psychologically.  Being a part of their journey is what makes me a better person and ultimately a better individual.

Experience

I first began my fitness journey in March 2011. I had two young children, my weight had crept up and I was unhappy with my figure so reluctantly, I signed myself up for my first Cave session. Having never set foot in a gym environment before, ‘nervous’ was an understatement! We all have to start somewhere and for me it was at the bottom. Never did I know what a huge impact this would have on my life, from that very class I was hooked, I loved it! I couldn’t get enough and I’ve never looked back since. I can honestly say it’s one of the best things that has ever happened to me. Over the next two years I increased my weekly classes, enrolled for PT sessions with Adam and most importantly, found my passion. I loved seeing the results, loved witnessing others achieving and progressing with their goals. Every PT session I attended, I absorbed as much information as possible. I enrolled on my Level 2 Gym Instructor in October 2013 and by December I was fully qualified and working the Cave classes. A lot of what I had learnt and taken on board came from training and working alongside Adam in the Cave. I wanted to further my career and learn more, so I enrolled and passed my personal training course, which took my passion to yet again a whole new level. Learning is majorly important to me, I will continue to widen my knowledge which in turn will be passed onto clients. I am a qualified Poliquin Bioprint practitioner and have also trained with different personal trainers within the industry to continue my learning.

Interests

Fitness in general, body composition and family.

Likes

I like… no wait, I love my job! I’ve not always been in the fitness industry but over the past few years I’ve realised just what I’ve been missing. I like the feeling of self-achievement and the feeling of being part of members’/clients’ fitness journeys, it’s job satisfaction at its best! I especially like to train myself, I feel that it’s very important and to help my clients/members to relate to me. I’m just a working mum who wishes to remain fit and healthy.

Dislikes

Burpees! Burpees and more burpees!  And add thrusters to that list too! But hey, we all have to do/overcome things we don’t like to progress and move forward.

Personal Fitness Goals

To remain fit and lead a healthy lifestyle, get stronger, continue my learning and knowledge of the industry.  Eventually I’d like to compete – not only for myself as a personal goal – but to show no matter what your circumstances, you can achieve anything you put your mind to. And to get a 55 kg clean & press – I’ve been after that for a while.
